Blinky’s Programming
Our program is thoughtfully inspired by the philosophy of Friedrich Froebel, embracing a play-based approach that recognises play as the foundation of meaningful learning. Within this approach, children are viewed as capable and curious learners, who actively construct their own understanding through exploration, discovery, and hands-on experiences. Educators intentionally plan and scaffold opportunities that invite children to wonder, investigate, and engage deeply with their environment, fostering a lifelong love of learning.
This philosophy is further enriched by the work of Urie Bronfenbrenner, particularly his concept of the microsystem, which acknowledges the vital role of close relationships in a child’s life. At Blinky’s, we value the strong connections between children, families, educators, and the wider community, recognising that these relationships create a supportive and nurturing network. Through this collaborative approach, children develop a strong sense of belonging, identity, and wellbeing, enabling them to thrive in a safe, inclusive, and responsive learning environment.
